Overview
The Industrial Pharmacy graduate study program seeks complete scientific education and professional preparation of its graduates, aiming at their future employment in the Pharmaceutical Industry. Distinguished members of the university community as well as renowned workers or executives of the Industry with a specialized scientific field of action, frame and support the program.
Students are educated and focus on a wide range of scientific knowledge, with part of their education concerned with the practical application of this knowledge, to gain the qualifications and experience that industry requires today. The courses of the program cover the subjects of Drug Design – Development, Preclinical and Clinical Evaluation, Preformulation – Formulation, Technology, Analysis, Cosmetology, Regulatory Framework and Marketing.
Vocational rehabilitation
The theoretical and practical training provided by the Industrial Pharmacy master’s program offer the necessary knowledge and skills to students, making them competitive scientists to work in the Pharmaceutical Industry in the areas of Synthesis, Production, Quality Control, Research & Development of Pharmaceutical Products or to continue with preparation of a Doctoral Dissertation 0in the respective research fields, both in Greece and abroad.
In addition, this program pays attention at the importance of specialization of the students in matters of Regulatory and Normative Frameworks as well as in matters related to the field of products’ promotion strategies (marketing).
Selection conditions and criteria
Participation in the MSc Industrial Pharmacy takes place after the timely payment of the applications and the accompanying supporting documents of the interested parties in accordance with the instructions of the announcement of each academic year.
Applicants should hold a first-cycle university bachelor degree and specifically graduates of the departments of Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology, Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Medicine, Agriculture, Chemical Engineering or other related departments. In addition, holders of first cycle degrees (bachelor) from similar institutions abroad with recognition by DOATAP are accepted.
